We love dry cakes because it’s always easy to make, and these shortbread or lemony rings with slivered almonds do not stand out, they are so good, melting in the mouth and extra tasty, that we won’t stop not one piece.

Very delicious very crispy shortbread cakes, with a very strong lemon taste, and the crunch of slivered almonds grilled beforehand, for more flavor, what more can you ask for.

For me, these almond shortbread cookies, or rather lemon rings with slivered almonds, have been my favorite recipe for a while now, because I don’t feel like eating only butter and flour, I really like this pep and this burst of delicacies in the mouth.

  • Beat the butter and sugar until you get a creamy texture.

  • Add the flour‚ the baking powder‚ the lemon zest then collect everything with the egg.

  • Flour your work surface then roll out your dough on a floured work surface.

  • Using a cookie cutter, cut out your rings

  • put them on a floured or parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C.

  • Leave the rings to cool before glazing them, with the lemon glaze
  • Decorate with the slivered almonds..

  • let it dry and it’s ready!
